ARTIST PROFILE

Born in Tiverton, Devon, Danny started playing guitar at age 12. He started his first band in school with his younger brother and won a competition, the prize being to play live on stage with Lemmy from Motorhead.

The band went on to play the clubs up and down England and gained a London Management/promotion company with the band having a couple of majors interested. After this, Danny got involved with Sean Harris, ex-Diamondhead, who was in the process of starting up a new break away band. After spending 3 months in pre-production/recording and completing the one and only gig supporting The Wildhearts, the record deal never developed and the band was ended. Danny began playing in and out of London based bands covering the Camden circuit on a regular basis; it was whilst doing this I was offered an audition for a session guitar player at Albert Productions in Islington. After landing the gig he spent over two years working in the studio on a pre-production, recording and writing basis. Working with quite a number of different producers to work on new sounds it was then he got to work with George Young as he stepped in to cover their departed bass player and also took over production duties.

After this, Danny answered an ad in Melody Maker for a guitar player; this was to join a band called Nozzle fronted by Dave Bloomberg the guitarist for New Model Army. This band offered him his first official release on an album called “Winter” released by Viking Records Hamburg, this involved a couple of tours mainly around Germany and one Italian Music Festival.

Additionally, Danny helped out the singer from Albert Productions with a small promotion tour of Ireland involving Radio and TV work and gigs in Dublin and Belfast.

In 2000, Danny relocated to the South of England, started a family and took a step back from the music business.

Danny kept his passion for music alive by playing with local cover bands, which then led to the formation of a new band called the Lonely Goats, a 3-piece rock outfit that had a couple of self-releases.

More recently, Danny writes and produces songs under his own name. His most recent single is “I Need You”.
